Louis Vuitton — America’s Cup
We were super excited when we were asked by Louis Vuitton to make a film for the 37th America’s Cup. The only problem was the film was needed before the event started and each country’s boat design is highly secretive, so we couldn’t film on one.
The solution we came to was to split out the on-boat action, building a wheel and pedals for the cockpit shots. We shot these macro slow-motion shots with a high speed camera — beautifully shot by our DP, Ot Boqué. The Alinghi Red Bull team were amazing in letting us shoot some FPV drone shots of their boat out on the water a couple of weeks before the race. Incredible to be out on the water with these feats of engineering 🐋 and shooting out at sea at high speed, holding on for dear life whilst we slammed on the deck on every wave!
Huge thanks to super producer Sonia Figuera who made every far fetched request a reality — getting us access to film @basilicasagradafamilia is practically unheard of! And for the lovely team of people she brought together, we're very grateful.
